Re: Weight Loss Challenges
I've been working in the field of weight loss for a long time and the only thing I am certain of is that there is no one size that fits all. Any dietary pattern that is chosen should be (fairly) easy to follow and most importantly, enjoyable. The body is also amazing at both conserving and burning energy, depending on the conditions we provide it.
Re: Workplace Health
I really like the Cronometer's "Add Food" button because it allows me to see the caloric and nutritional content of whatever it is I think I want to eat, before I eat it. Just seeing that information on the screen--and what it will do to my daily intake limitations-- makes me consider whether or not I REALLY want to eat it.
Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen Checklist - counter
A little checklist counter would be great, but I guess that requires to have the foods sorted into/flagged for these groups...

Re: Nutrition information displayed in ml using the European label
Hi,
seconded!
I drink a lot of water, but that comes in US style oz or grams. I really would like to be able to use litres.
Also, yesterday i drank Alpro chocolatmilk which was fortunately in ml, but that added nothing to my daily water, while the bread with cucumber did. I'm quite sure there is more moisture in something one drinks than in something one eats. (excepting alcohol & coffee)
Thanx

Re: The great nutrient collapse
Great questions! We use the most up to date nutrition information available - including new products available in the market place, and whole foods that are analyzed and nutrient values updated where they have changed.
Re: Target Bars Set to Reach Minimums Instead of the Goal Being to Stay Under Maximums
Thanks for the reply, kkelly, I didn't know about the green and red colors on the target bars, but that's good to know. For me, however, I just want to look at the bars and see how much is remaining until I hit my maximums, so what I ended up doing is, I set the values on my minimums to my personal maximums. Having the bars set up this way makes a lot more sense to me and I'd imagine a lot more people are focused on how close they're getting to their maximums and not their minimums.
Metric to track poops
Hi there,
Bit of a weird feature request
Its quite beneficial for people with gut issues / IBS to track how many bowel movements there are each day. Useful for tracking what foods might be causing constipation etc.
Awesome website you guys have, great job!.
Cheers.
Re: Vitamin K 2, and another request
Hi @mike
Don't worry, we are paying attention
On the vitamin K2 question, I don't believe there is a ton of data out there on how much most foods contain. @kkelly can correct me there if I am wrong. That said if it could be useful if you have that data when creating custom foods.
I'll be adding both features to our list! Thanks for the suggestions.
Cheers,
Spencer
Re: Weight Loss Challenges
I'm on the Keto diet and I find that if I don't eat enough calories I can tend to gain weight (the body holding on thinking it is starving). So then the next day I eat more than my target and the weight loss starts again. Seems counterintuitive but it works for me. ????
Re: Is there a way to record daily time in the sun
Hi @Von ,
There currently is no way of tracking vitamin D from sunlight with Cronometer. You can always add your minutes spent in the sun in your notes.
You should check out this discussion in our forums: https://forums.cronometer.com/discussion/23/please-add-sunlight-vitamin-d
