Re: Be Happy with Slower Progress
+1 for trusting the tape measure over the scale. Why do we think of losing weight anyway when no one ever said “I want to lose some of this excess muscle!” Or intracellular water, for that matter. Isn’t fat pretty much the only thing anyone really wants to lose? Smaller and heavier would be fine.
I would be happy to gain 5 lbs if it were all muscle. But gaining 5 lbs of muscle takes work. Gaining 5lbs of fat is completely effortless!
Re: 2 meals a day or 3?
This will sound simplistic, but most folks I have ever met that did NOT have a weight issue seemed to follow two basic themes - (1) eat when you're hungry (ignore the clock) and (2) Stop when you're full. I have problems with both of these.
Re: Our new look!
Anyway, I've found "A Calorie Counter" and "FatSecret".
Thanks @CMacKirnan I will look into these.

Re: Our new look!
We've just updated the web version with some improvements to padding and font sizes. One of many changes to come, please bear with us as we address the feedback and bug reports.

Re: Calories burned is a joke!
Where is the button to put someone on ignore? I know it used to be available and it would come in handy.
Re: Logging cereal/milk
I'm SHOCKED that you eat Grape Nuts! As far as I'm concerned, Grape Nuts is just gravel disguised as food.
The only cold cereal I still buy is plain Shredded Wheat. I do NOT eat it plain. I add fruit to flavor it. Adding cinnamon and raisins makes it a healthy version of Raisin Bran. Another option is to add chopped dried apricot. In addition, there are many other ways to flavor Shredded Wheat.
Re: Be Happy with Slower Progress
Wow, I'm amazed that you managed to lose weight in winter! I find winter weight gain to be as certain as death and taxes. It's the season for eating more and exercising less.
Weight loss is for the warmer months, which bring a smaller appetite and more chances to exercise.
Dole Romaine Lettuce error
I was wondering my my Vit A intake was so high (near dangerous levels), and it appears that the Cronometer database overstates vit A in Dole Romaine lettuce by a factor of 6.
Dole on the left, Cronometer on the right. According to this a big caesar salad could put you into a coma.
Re: Allow "," as decimal separator (QWERTZ keyboard)
Hi, so how is this going on.. Just stumbled again on this annoing problem. I think that best would be to support both, as china and india supports dot but most other countries comma. (according to wikipedia) I would not really care how it works, as long as my comma will be automatically transcoded as working decimal separator. Now it causes entry that needs again to be fixed or just feeling of why is this made so hard....
