I have recently had back surgery on L2, L3, L4 to repair an old (30 years) poorly done fusion. There was a piece of broken bone that had be irritating the nerves in that area causing scarring. The surgeon removed that bone and debris and cleaned up the scarred nerves. There were also two bone spurs at L5 that were removed. All of this caused some serious nerve damage. I am on a very high protein diet of a target of 150-160 grams of protein to accommodate the nutritional demands of nerve regeneration. How can I change the max daily allotment of protein in the app?

In MyFitnessPal, it is possible to "Quick Add" foods, including any macro information you have available. Is this something that is possible in Cronometer? For example, today I was given a salad bought from a supermarket. I am unlikely to ever buy this myself, but the only way to log it in cronometer was to either create a new food, or try and figure out what quantities of each of the ingredients it contained. In the long term this means I will end up with a huge list of foods that I've had to create simply to add them to my day as a one off occurance, and which I can't delete as otherwise they'll be removed from my log!!

Here's a link to an image on the internet showing the quick add option for MFP (quick add calories is for all users, quick add macros is for premium users only):
https://www1-lw.xda-cdn.com/files/2015/04/Screen-Shot-2015-04-14-at-10.49.04-AM-183x143.png

I would want to log calories, total carbs, sugars, fibre, protein, fat, sat fat and salt (the basic nutrients that are listed on food labels in the UK!).

Thanks for any help or pointers you can give me

Should all targets be at exactly 100% each daily or is it not that critical? If they should all be 100% daily how can I achieve this please? Many thanks in advance for any thoughts, help and advice on this. Paula

Great app, been Gold for years, but this has been asked a handful of times and unless I've missed it, it's never been answered officially. Are we ever getting an Adaptive TDEE model like a handful of other trackers have?

We can track completely insane things, many of which only apply to the few, yet can't have the app figure out our TDEE based on our results and weigh ins? That's literally the most valuable thing a macro tracker can offer given it's core purpose.

Having a Mifflin St Jeuor guess at my TDEE which is overestimated by almost 1000 cals isn't helpful, but at least I can see that and know it's wrong. How many can't? At least if I set a goal and then the results show it's wrong, it could adjust until I'm dialed in and losing at the goals specified.

MacroFactor, Carbon and MM+ all offer this, why is this still not an option for the most feature rich Macro Tracker there is? I've been holding out for this for 2 cycles of paying for Gold now, starting to question my sanity here. I'd love to stay loyal, but c'mon!

First: I wasn't sure which category to choose for this comment/question.

I know I'm not the first to talk about this, but many of my logged foods count fibre as 4kcal/g.
This is even happening now with the soluble/insoluble showing up.

Using a LLM to get some insight, it reported that Cronometer only mirrors the information from databases, and doesn't adjust any values. If that's the case, has their been any effort on Cronometer's part to consider changing that policy, or perhaps petitioning the NCCDB or USDA to adjust values for fibre to be more accurate?

In a diet with 45-60+g of fibre, these miscalculations can result in being off by a fair bit. If the goal is to offer precise information, it seems that this is one of the remaining gaps to improve.

I really do like this and the backfilling for other nutrients as an added plus, but for one food I eat regularly (Wild Planet Skipjack Tuna with sea salt), the EPA and DHA levels are lower than should be estimated. The total Omega 3 is 528 per can and you list 300 for the DHA (good estimate) but given the proportions of EPA and DHA in tuna, 120 would be a better assessment for the EPA.

I would really like to figure out a way I can correct this for my own tracking. 300 and 120 are probably underestimates but it does take variations into account.

Normally tuna is low in Omega 3s becaue it is typically cooked before it is canned

I'm new to cronometer and fairly new to keto. I selected the moderate keto setting and my targets are 47 g of protein and 150 g of fat. Carbs are not an issue for me, I've been paleo/primal for a few years. I do the normal stuff - butter, olive oil, avocados - but have not been coming close to my fat macro. On the flip side, my normal day consists of things like eggs, tuna, red meat. I'm finding that this is way too much protein. I had 6 oz. of venison last night for dinner and that alone went over.

Maybe my macro settings aren't correct? I came here after using another tracking product for years. I like this one much better, but need to get my settings dialed in. If anyone can offer some hints/guidance I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

I have dozens of exercises that I want to log. I am not so much interested in its metabolical parameters but I want to log amount of time doing them, the date, stuff like that. It appears they only are added to the diary. Ya you also get the most recent but that is insufficient. It should be like Custom foods and recipes, available to add any time after creating them, as much as you want.

I wonder if I am just missing something but I don't think so.

I am hoping that you can help I take a number of Caruso's natural health supplements daily to manage osteoarthritis and other things but I am finding I can't add all the different supplements in as they are not listed when I search for them. I have tried adding them in as a food but cannot do that for all of them as some of the ingredients are not listed for me to add in as the food. Do I just not add those supplements in that I take daily or If I gave you a list of the ingredients that I could not find could they please be added to the ingredients data base? Thank you very much in advance for any help and advice you can give with this. Paula
