I regularly sleep 7-8 hours of sleep per night, but Cronometer seems to think I am sleeping 12-14 hours per night. Looking at the breakdown, it seems the problem is with the "Light" sleep category. Has anybody else seen this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Hi, I just wanted to point out a small potential error with a nutrient value in the app.

From over a year of tracking foods, almost all of which are NCCDB entries, the only food that has a non-zero and non-missing value for lactose is broccoli. (I don't eat dairy products so I didn't expect other foods to have it.)

As far as I know, there is no lactose in broccoli. From NIH: https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/digestive-diseases/lactose-intolerance/eating-diet-nutrition
"Many foods that do not contain lactose are also sources of calcium. Examples include: [...] broccoli and leafy green vegetables"

But on Cronometer, 100 g of broccoli is shown to contain 0.21 g of lactose (USDA as well as NCCDB entries).

According to USDA, there is 0g of lactose in broccoli: https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/food-details/747447/nutrients

I use Cronometer to (besides logging my food) send this information through Google Fit so it can be shown in another app called Strong.

This works fine when I use MyFitnessPal (which I absolutely hate with a passion).

However, when using Cronometer, it doesn't seem to work.

Google Fit unfortunately doesn't seem to have any way in the app to see your food logged, but it does definitely receive and store this information because it has successfully pushed all of this info to another app for me.

Has anyone else been able to share their food data from Cronometer through Google Fit and have it display in a third app? Also, does anyone know if any way at all to view food information in Google Fit? I cannot seem to find a way to do this at all.

Also, is there a way to make sure that Google Fit does not send any data BACK to Cronometer? I want data to pass only from Cronometer TO Google Fit (not the other way around). Because at current it seems to be syncing two-ways and that means I get 2 weight readings. Cronometer could you please give us an option for only one-way sync (i.e. export from Cronometer only)

EDIT: @Hilary

I found this post from you last April: https://forums.cronometer.com/discussion/comment/7795/#Comment_7795

It's quite unclear because you use the word import twice. Am I to understand that Cronometer does not export any data to Google Fit at all? If I am correct, why is this the case and can you please change it? This is a serious loss of functionality as it means that Cronometer cannot use Google Fit as a medium to pass through a lot of data to third-party apps.

Can you please make this a big priority as it means that Cronometer is literally unable to pass its data anywhere outside of its own app... it makes using your app for logging food pointless if I wish to share that information with another app.

<cross-posted to="" technical="" help=""></cross-posted>

So today I changed phases in my weight loss program, moving to a higher percentage of fat for my macro ratios. Additionally, I added back some calories to my day by modifying the weight loss rate in the Trends feature.

I was disappointed to find, as I looked back through my historic data, that the daily calories had been changed for all my past entries, even though they had been saved. Where once my remaining calories were 20-30 calories for the day, now they are at 400!

So apparently all the data I've been collecting for historic measure and look back is altered and corrupted.

Am I mistaken here? Why wouldn't Chronometer save the daily macro ratios and daily target calories in the record with everything else?

--Signed,
Very frustrated

Cronometer incorrectly records data in Apple HealthKit.I use several different apps that analyze food and activity data tog

Each logged food gets stored as an individual nutritional data record instead of being stored as a food. This means other apps that read the data have no idea what you ate or drank. All they see is a bunch of disconnected nutritional data points and the time they were recorded. In practice, it means food won’t show up in all apps (as they don’t expect data to be unstructured) and you miss out on correlations and insights from Apple Health, Guava, and other apps that analyze the data.

One food item (one logged item in Cronometer) should be stored as a HKCorrelation of type food that contains all the nutrient records. This HKCorrelation should also contain a HKMetadataKeyFoodType, which is a string representing the food (e.g., "Honey" or "Apple").

Fixing this would make Cronometer’s nutritional integration with Apple Health would be on-pair with the structured data that your app already provides to Android Health Connect users.

I’m seeing a persistent weight error on one specific day in my graph/diary (see attached screenshot). In Apple Health the entries are correct and continuous, but in Cronometer that date shows a spurious spike/outlier.

Environment

iPhone + Apple Watch

Apple Health integrated with Cronometer

Data type: HKQuantityTypeIdentifierBodyMass (lbs)

Time zone: local; no manual overrides

Steps to Reproduce

Connect Apple Health to Cronometer.

Ensure normal daily Body Mass samples exist in Health for the period.

Open Discover → Weight Change (or diary) in Cronometer.

Observe a single-day value that does not match Health.

Run Settings → Integrations → Apple Health → Backfill → Weight and reopen the app.

Issue persists.

Expected

The per-day Body Mass in Cronometer mirrors Apple Health (same value, timestamp bucket, and unit).

Actual

On 2025-08-31, Cronometer displays an incorrect weight (large spike). The value remains after backfill, app relaunch, and device reboot.

What I’ve Verified

Apple Health shows correct samples (no duplicates), correct Data Source priority (Apple Watch on top), correct units/timestamps.

Tried disconnect/reconnect + backfill; force-quit; Background App Refresh on; Low Power Mode off.

Questions

Does Cronometer apply rounding/averaging/dedup or a time-bucket rule that could pick the wrong sample when multiple exist on a day?

Is there a way to purge and re-import Body Mass for a single date only?

Any known issues with midnight boundaries, unit conversion (lb↔kg), or timezone offsets for HKQuantityTypeIdentifierBodyMass?

Do backfills fully honor Health → Data Sources priority?

Happy to provide exact timestamps/values, app build, and iOS/watchOS versions.

Protein 120.0g
Net Carbs 80.0g
Protein /186.4g

I reached out to support previously, who recommended I get the fix from the latest update, but that didn't fix my issue. I tried re-installing the application and clearing the application cache to no avail. The web portal's nutrition scores work as expected.

Platform: Pixel 5 > Android 14
Cronometer Version: 4.41.3

If I could get any insight or help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

The beverages still show up when I click to add them in the Diary, but the Supplements do not. They've also disappeared from all previous Diary days.

Nort syncing for me anyway. all the exercise i did today has disappeared from the diary for the day. Yesterdays entries are still there. The fitness app on my phone and watch shows the data correctly. I have rebooted the phone, and double-chedked the Apple Health Settings (all are turned on). I also disconected and reconnected Apple Health in cronometer, and tried to backfill for the day. None of that worked. Any ideas as to what could be going on?
