I am finding it easy to keep within my Daily Calorie amount but with the Targets I never seem to get them to be exactly 100% sometimes some targets are under sometimes some targets are a little over and it seems to vary from day to day with each target. Should all targets be at exactly 100% each daily or is it not that critical? Many thanks in advance for any thoughts, help and advice on this. Since it's a bar code, can't all the data be brought in, from the entire container down to individual serving?

For example yesterday I entered 14.66 servings of BBQ sauce because the full bottle wasn't an option 🤦‍♀️

What’s the best way to log a homemade vegetable juice in Cronometer?

I usually make a juice with several raw vegetables (e.g. carrot, celery, beetroot, cucumber, etc.) using a slow juicer. Since the fiber is removed (not a smoothie)/
I’m not sure if I should enter the raw vegetables separately, search for “juice” entries, or use custom recipes.

Any tips to get the most accurate micronutrient tracking would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance 🙏

If I search for a food by typing its name and log it, the next time I type-search it, it shows up immediately in my recent/commonly used items. Super fast and convenient.

However, if I scan a barcode to add a food, Cronometer does not seem to remember it in the same way. If i later try to text search that exact same item is difficult or nearly impossible to find again. It doesn’t appear in recent items even though I’ve already logged it before.

Why is that? Is that normal? Am I doing something wrong?

It seems it would only be possible to edit Diary Groups on the mobile app. So if I wanted to make a change to an entry on my computer, I would have to delete the entry and recreate it under the new Diary Group. Pretty annoying and time-consuming for those that utilize a variety of Diary Groups and may accidentally set the incorrect group from time to time.

I don't have a food scale so today I cooked up some chicken wings and dividing a 3rdthe package weight comes to 366g and Cronometer reads 87g protein but now thinking they don't go by the total weight with bones. I thought I was getting loads of protein but maybe I'm suppose to take away the bone weight. So about 50% will be about 183g meat and skin so 43g protein.

I am tracking both my expenditure with YNAB (live updates from bank accounts) and food tracking.

I recently completed identifying all of 2025 outflows, inclusive of a sub category of social expenditures, by tagging specific payees as Pub or Restaurant and/or memo field keyword (Social, Alcohol).

As I live in Ireland, just going for a pint is a social norm, as like in many other parts of the world.

I then track Alcohol as food in Cronometer, and I get the nutritional data tracked.

I now add two biomarkers

Units per consumption (Using https://alcoholireland.ie/drinks-calculator/)

Drinking Ratio (times per week):
.... - This is the ratio (per month, 28/30/31 days) of Drinking Days:Non-Drinking Days, then multiplied by 7 days for per month weekly average).

The two major blind spots from analysing expenditures are, particularly after the fact:

Restaurant bills (as it difficult to reverse guestimate, unless you get a copy of receipt, which may be socially awkward)

Grocery basket (like above, unless one tracks the receipts)

Like with all behavioural economics and adjustments, 21 days to make a habit, etc, adding these new patterns takes time (1-3 months) like tracking alcohol consumption.

Cronometer make this “accounting” a breeze without (for me) any shame, and more fact based when talking to my GP and Medical Professionals (like with Hepatology etc).

I have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and reducing (to zero) alcohol consumption as a co-factor post diagnosis is a strong recommendation

I just don't understand the difference, the one that says remaining, I think thats easy, I've got 458 calories remaining right? But if I toggle and change it to balance what does that mean? What does 824 deficit mean? So confused by this, I'm sure it's a simple explanation if someone could explain like they were talking to an alien that would be helpful. TIA

When I click + to log my breakfast at 8am, I am always disappointed when my normal things are not just listed there before I type anything. This would save so much time.

It looks like it's trying to do this, but it shows only some of my recent foods and it's appears to be not based on the time of day I normally add things. It also seems to list things that I never eat, so it seems to be trying to suggest based on what it thinks I should or might want. That's OK, but list after the things I normally choose for that time of day.

My main example is that I eat one of 4 different things for breakfast most days. Any tie before 11am, those 4 things should be the first 4 items listed and ordered based on either frequency of use or last use.

Thanks!
