+10 yrs on cronometer. Tried so so many things over the years until I read a book called 'Change your Diet, Change your Mind' by Georgia Edes and had a light bulb moment. I started eating more meat, stopped worrying so much about getting 'complete nutrients' from various foods during each day. I started checking glucose, ketones, and GKI each day. Over the past year I have lost + 40 lbs, keeping it off, and now weigh 139 lbs. I am not totally carnivore but I try to stick to grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish, a few vegetables, nuts (which I am still addicted to, ugh!), and some dairy... and NO SEED OILS. I still use cronometer every day and probably will forever...I would love to talk food, ideas, logging, etc with other like-minded folks..

My SAP C_C4H22_2411 Exam Study Plan That Took Me From Beginner to Certified in 4 Weeks

When I started preparing for the SAP C_C4H22_2411 exam, I had only a basic understanding of SAP Sales Cloud concepts, and the sheer volume of topics initially felt intimidating. To stay focused and consistent, I created a 4-week study plan that helped me move from a complete beginner to confidently certified. In the first week, I focused on building a foundation by going through the official SAP Learning Hub materials and documentation. I made short notes on key concepts such as lead and opportunity management, activity planning, and integration basics, ensuring I understood how each process connected within the Sales Cloud ecosystem.

In the second week, I shifted my attention to hands-on learning. I practiced in a demo environment, experimenting with configuration scenarios and workflow automation to connect theoretical knowledge to real-world application. I also started using SAP C_C4H22_2411 exam questions & answers, which challenged my understanding and helped me identify areas where I needed deeper study, such as analytics and data migration. By the end of this week, I had a clearer picture of the exam’s structure and which topics demanded more attention.

The focus of weeks three and four was improving my test taking technique and strengthening my areas of weakness. I spent time on SAP Community forums, picking up tips from people who had just passed the test, and going over the official manuals again to get clarification on any unclear points. In order to improve my time management skills and lower my anxiety, I also took lengthy practice exams. My confidence had significantly increased by the last week not because I had committed questions to memory, but rather because I had a thorough understanding of how SAP Sales Cloud operated. This methodical and consistent strategy turned my uncertainty into success, demonstrating that even a novice can pass the C_C4H22_2411 test in just four weeks with the correct tools and dedication.

I started my health and weight loss journey Aug 2022 and reached my goal today, July 4th 2023! As I head into my maintenance phase I would like to thank all the folks at Cronometer, without this wonderful app I do not think it would have been possible. I'm healthy, have gained a small amount of muscle while losing a lot of fat.

And to the folks at Withings and Keto-Mojo who with their products also provided the needed insight right in my Cronometer Diary. Thank you all!

Thanks for the detailed analysis regarding exercise levels.. I’ve looked at the referenced link and have a better idea if how to judge my efforts. FYI, last week my total cycling miles, stationary and road, just turned 80,000 miles since 1987. Not to shabby for an 82 year old. Shooting for my 4th circumference of the earth, maybe in my early 90’s. Due to some balance issue, I’m now riding a recumbent trike w/ battery assist and a stationary, and lovin’ it. Weight has dropped from 240 to 178 since the early 1900s, and keeping it off, thanks to Chronometer.

Who am I? Nobody special, really. I'm not a doctor, nutritionist, trainer or athlete. Far from it. I'm just a guy in my mid 50's trying to kick a lifetime habit of obesity. I'm now 14 weeks into Mounjaro, almost 50 Lbs lighter, and for the first time I feel as though I might actually have a chance at maintaining a permanent weight loss.

I thought I'd share here some of my thoughts on what has been working (and not working) for me, and maybe get some feedback from others on their own experiences. Feel free to chime in!

My passion for nutrition stems from my personal journey. At the age of 16, I weighed my heaviest at 320 pounds (145.45kg) and was told by my doctor that I could die by my 25th birthday if I continued this path. Along the way, I experienced being scammed and misinformed about nutrition, which led to taking shortcuts using weight loss supplements and medications like ephedra, phentermine, and OTC fat loss pills. I was a yo-yo dieter, experiencing only short-term weight loss success.

Determined to make a lasting change, I decided to educate myself on nutrition and how food works in the human body. My personal journey led me to lose over 120 pounds and compete in the men's physique division of bodybuilding. Now, I strive to live a healthy lifestyle that brings happiness and be pain-free.

As a coach, my focus is on learning as much as possible about each of my clients to create a realistic plan that best suits their health goals and provides the lifestyle they deserve to live. I'm compassionate, understanding, and dedicated to helping you achieve long-term success.

Week 3 Done. I've been moving down the weight loss per week settings starting at 2.0 on Week 1, 1.5 on Week 2, and Week 3 was set to 1.0 pounds per week to lose. I'm in Goal Range and at Target Weight, so I'm slowly adding in more calories each week to ease into maintenance. Last time I hit Target using a different Tracking app, I went instantly into the maintenance calorie amount and it threw me off. Lesson learned.

Cronometer is making this transition so easy. I really like how they configure daily calories and having it connected to an Activity Tracker works. The scale agrees. 🙂

My second goal after being in Target+buffer awhile is to take a closer look at macros and transition into that. One step at a time.

Recently, after losing about 60 lbs., I crossed the line from obese to overweight. First crossed that threshold ten years ago. Saw the doctor Friday and due to reduced weight, blood pressure, and glucose we eliminated the statin; eliminated the uric acid reducer for gout; halved the bp medication; and if bp still below target in two weeks will eliminate it too. Since there isn't as much of me to lug around all day anymore I don't need the inhaler for COPD either. So all I'll be left with is a multivitamin and baby aspirin.

Losing another 30 to 35 lbs will put me in the upper portion of the normal range which is where he thinks I belong since old folks can have a harder time recovering from weight loss due to illness. So hoping to be down around 175 by my next Dr. visit in the spring. In the meantime will be looking in to improve overall fitness, strength, and endurance as well as weight.

For years I've known about the ketogenic diet, but my weight gradually crept up. I read Dr Mercola's book, and it seemed good, but it was mostly about what I THOUGHT that I was already doing.

I'm 77 years old and my body fat percentage had crept up to 22%. A man should be between 10% and 20% and a woman between 20% and 30% so I was out of my own territory.
So I followed Mercola's advice and started to use Cronometer.

Was I in for a surprise. I was eating a lot more than I thought.

Starting at the end of August I weighed 73Kg (161lb) and was down to 70.9Kg by the third of July. I had to cut down my protein by about half and discovered to my horror that many of my favourite vegetables have high calories even though they have low carbohydrates.

Using the foods section of Cronometer, I was able to create an XL table showing the proteins, carbs, fats, and calories in my favourite foods and sort them into order by calories.

After that, it was a simple matter to choose which foods to cut out during my weight loss and put back again when I wanted to level out.

In nine weeks I had reached my target of 12% body fat with a weight of 60Kg, so now my problem is to level out correctly. You see, I keep eating about 300 calories more than Cronometer says that I should eat to level out, and my body fat keeps creeping down.

One problem is that nobody has done analyses on many of the foods that I like to eat. So I have to list unripe fava bean pods as green beans. I managed to create a food for milk thistle and nasturtium flowers. But what about things like Aptenia cordifolia that I've got growing all over my garden as ground-cover? What about beetroot leaves, radish leaves, broccoli leaves, turnip leaves, chayote leaves, etc - and that's even before I start eating garden snails.

I'll just have to lump everything together as greens, but that misses the point about their micronutrients. Fava bean leaves are supposed to be the richest source of potassium, but I haven't seen any figures anywhere, so I can't use them in Cronometer.

I was reading an NYT article on diversity in dietetics / nutrition and ran across this passage -
"Diksha Gautham, 27, a nutritionist in San Francisco, tells her mostly South Asian-American clientele that a healthy diet can include palak paneer and aloo tikki. As a child, she said, she harbored a blind perception that anything that wasn’t dry chicken and broccoli, including the dal and rice her mother cooked, “was bad for me.” No nutritional database she has encountered includes Indian ingredients, so she created her own guides to healthful Indian food."
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/07/dining/dietitian-diversity.html#commentsContainer

Ok Gang, are you ready for a Wild Week #1 that I've had on Cronometer? Coming from two other Food Tracking apps, this isn't new or starting from scratch...I've been calorie counting since 2009. This is important for later.

I started the week at 204.6(In Maintenance Zone) and am going to visit my nephew on 11/202020, so my goal was to get to 199.9(Target Weight) before getting on the plane. With the two prior tracking apps, it would take me about a month, so I was ready.
Setting Cronometer at 2lbs per week(just like I had on my prior apps), I knew it was going to be a Camp Gladiator Food Tracking week, but I needed a turnaround and would complete the first two weeks at this setting. Weighing daily for this week was important to see how the app was going to help me...and WOW, it sure did.

As of this morning, Sunday, I hit Goal Weight. Yes, you read that right. I weighed in at 199.66 this morning. I haven't lost 5 pounds in a week since the first few weeks I started calorie counting YEARS ago but I did it this week. The tools I have are Cronometer, Ticwatch Pro 3 w/Google Fit, and Withings Body Cardio Scale. Also using a Google Spreadsheet to log my daily Calories =/- so by Sunday night, I'm at 0 fluctuation and all are accounted for.
Winning...winning winning winning! I couldn't be MORE pleased with Cronometer Gold and how it will continue to help me get a weight buffer in before the holidays.

Starting Week 2, weight loss goal was set at 1.5. Lost 1.3 and didn't feel like I was STARVING, was actually manageable. Scale is consistently moving in the right direction for sure. I hit my Target Weight unexpectedly on Week 1, so now I'm earning my 5 pound buffer for the holidays. Goal is to not exceed Target Weight moving forward. Onderland from here on out.
I love Cronometer. It works consistently unlike the other Tracker apps. Why do I think that? It's how the app configures daily calorie goal. It factors BMR and then subtracts the weekly weight loss goal amount from that...and any activity adds back to that lowered amount, not the BMR. Winning combo! Other apps take BMR and go up from there and any additional activity gives you MORE calories. Didn't work well for me. Cronometer figured it out. 🙂 I have Google Fit attached via TicWatchPro 3 and I'm not having any issues so I've found my groove.
Looking forward to Week 3 wrapping up on Sunday as I've moved my weight loss goal another notch down to 1 lb per week. Slowing adding more calories in to start to ascent to Maintenance once I hit my 5 pound buffer goal for the holidays.
Onward!

Today marks my 600th day logging every single thing that I have eaten!

The first 6 months or so were with pen and paper, followed by about 6 months with myfitnesspal, and then I found Cronometer and could not be happier!

So here's my success story, 600 days, 98 pounds, and I have been maintaining my goal weight of 140lbs +/-5 lbs for over 6 months now!

The biggest gain I had from this is getting a little too into it, and weighing literally everything that went into my mouth. But after putting "chicken" in 400 times, I can now get pretty close when I look and guess the weight of it. Although, I will not stop using the scale, at least I can feel comfortable with my amounts when I got out to eat. Stop my self from downing 10 breadsticks and still enjoy something delicious.

It's also helped me budget my food choices and I've gotten so much better at reading nutrition labels.

Thanks Cronometer for training my brain to understand what healthy life style is, rather than just EAT THIS NOT THAT.

Last, I'm so grateful to understand what exercise can really do to my calorie intake. VERY LITTLE! I was always under the impression I could always just "run it off". Little did I know sprinting still takes a good amount of time to burn off that large double pepperoni pizza.

I was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease last October, which required changes in diet and exercise to manage. I also take a statin to lower LDL cholesterol . Change is difficult.
In addition to changes to my exercise routine to make it more heart-centered, I have made a number of modifications to my diet, all of which are recommended by the American Heart Association. These changes have been slow and accumulative over the past six months, but I have made all the major modifications I hoped to make. Now it is a matter of fine-tuning my diet. Cronometer has been an invaluable help in tracking my nutrition over the last six months. Without it's simple-to-use food entry system and nutritional data, I know I could not have made the progress I have made. My diet is now heart-healthy and I will reap the benefits, hopefully for years to come.

The program is easy to use and the icons are easy to understand. The dashboard has a logical layout. Here you can navigate through the month and see at a glance how your day is progressing. For each day you can add food, exercise, biometrics or a note. (You can even measure your mood in milligiggles

In the middle of the screen, you’ll see coloured bar charts and circle charts to show your daily calorie summary, macronutrient targets (energy, protein, net carbs, fat), nutrient intakes and targets (think iron, fibre etc). Across the top are tabs for diary, trends, foods, settings and help.

Early in the summer I was 88 kg. My clothes were getting too tight! I am 58 and didn't want to get a new wardrobe. Over the course of the summer I started my 5bx exercise routine that I have followed off and on through the years. Then I read about HIIT and started to do 3 sets of my 5bx in the evening without having supper and then going to bed hungry and having a good breakfast the next morning. Eventually I switched to eating only in the evening and only eating after exercising. This was because my wife didn't like eating by herself. Later I discovered that this is called intermittent fasting (and I thought that I was the only one doing this!)
Anyway, I stalled at 78 k. Was there for 3 weeks. One Sunday I was fasting (a monthly religious two meal fast that we Mormons do) and I just decided to keep doing it. As I fasted, I read up on fasting and discovered that I was doing a 'dry' fast and that doing this for an extended period would result in being in a state called Ketosis which results in body fat being used as fuel source. So I bought some keto strips ($9 for 100 strips at London Drugs) and found that I was in ketosis in my second day of the fast. I ended my fast after 84 hours weighing 73 k and followed the keto diet for 10 days after that. I ended up at 73 k with a 33 inch waist. At that point I stopped because my clothes weren't fitting anymore. (Oh the irony!) I'm not going to complain too loud though because I can run like the wind again having dropped 15 k over 3 months.
The cronometer app and gold membership really helped me with the keto diet part because I had no clue about what foods met the keto criteria. I am firmly convinced that fast loss (and gain) is a function of diet more than it is exercise and cronometer is the first thing that I will turn to.
