Entered supplement not showing up on reports
Hi, I hope someone can figure out a solution to my problem. I added an Omega 3 supplement, taken daily. When I go to my Daily Report, the 3gms is listed under Omega 3's, and my Omega 6 / Omega 3 ratio is accurate. However, when I click on Discovery, Report, the Omega 3's from my supplement are not listed under Omega 3 and… -
Omega 6 & Omega 3 Balance
Current research suggests we should be between 4 times more Omega 6 than Omega 3 or even better 2 to 1 or 1 to 1. With AI of 15 grams Omega 6 that would be 15 grams Omega 3 at the 1 to 1 ratio. In an earlier post Karen suggests 15 grams Omega 6 and 3.4 grams of Omega 3 for a nutrient balance of 4.41. Should it not be… -

Re: Omega 6 to Omega 3
I'm confused by this as well if 14 grams of Omega 6 hits 100% target at a 2 to 1 ratio as recommended by research that would be 7 grams of Omega 3, or if you go for 1 to 1 which many say is even better that's 14 grams of Omega 3. Is 14 grams of Omega 3 too much? Would it be better to have 7 grams of Omega 6 and 5 grams of… -

Re: How to count a 1/4 cup of tomato puree?
If 48 ounces [3 pounds] of tomatoes makes 16 ounces [2 cups] of puree, your ratio is 3 to 1. So your question would be "does a 1/4 cup of tomato puree count as 3/4 cup of vegetables?". That I don't know... but I suspect that the 16 ounces from 2 cups of puree really means "fluid ounces", which measure volume; whereas the… -
Re: Am I reading the nutritient balances wrong?
You are correct, the labels are very non-intuitive. They should really be reversed to be more intuitive. As presented, they are a ratio value. so let's look at Omega 6 to Omega-3 for example. The ideal balance is virtually no Omega 6 and lots of Omega 3, so let's say 1 Omega 6 divided by 5 Omega 3 would be .2 (very near 0…
