Re: Carnivore Diet
I thought that I should give an update of my progress on the OMAD carnivore diet and Intermittent fasting. I have been more or less on this eating lifestyle for nearly three years now. My starting weight was 260 kg (573 Lbs). In December last year, I had lost over 1/2 of my body weight eating nothing but high fat meat. I… -
Re: Junk food consumption during pandemic
I've been avoiding all junk foods since the spring of 2020. Yes, I even skipped the holiday treats. Unhealthy foods weaken the immune system and promote inflammation. This is a double-whammy - reducing your body's ability to fight off the coronavirus AND more risk of the inflammation that leads to the deadly… -
Re: Maximum daily limit progress bars
Right, so definitely when the progress bars are yellow, they convey relevant info about every nutrient instantly. Right up until midday they're all yellow for me, so I can glance at that nutrition summary and know exactly where I stand on everything in about two seconds, which is fantastic phenomenal amazing. I love it.… -
Re: Blood tests after switching to healthy eating
Thank you, @Susan_RD_101 Unfortunately, I do not have a doctor to talk about this. Here, where I live, it's a little complicated when you get sick. My doctor is available from December. And there is no dietitian, just general medicine. Anyway... All my four grandparents died, but not from heart diseases (arteriosclerosis).… -
Re: 3D Touch for iPhone

Saving a tap or two doesn't seem like much when viewed individually, but it's definitely noticeable over the course of the day. I did a trial of Noom and loved how streamlined their food entry capabilities were. But they… -
Re: I would like to be able to have:
@ Casie, You can do both currently!! To Copy your data, you have a couple of different options. You can copy your entire day, a single diary group, multiple separate items, or a single item (including pre-made recipes). On the Web version: To copy and entire day, select the gear icon in the top right corner of your page… -
Re: foods
Beans are relatively inexpensive either way, but If you have more time than money dried beans are usually about half the price of canned and you get to control the salt. Oats - Kroger, the dominant big Grocery Chain in my parts, sells store-brand steel-cut oats in a 28-oz box for $3.19 which is $1.82/lb. Sprouts, a small… -
Re: More calories
I have mild pku and I need to follow a low protein diet too (mine is 12-13 grams of protein a day). Here are my recommendations: 1. Make korean glass noodles, chinese mung bean noodles, cassava couscous, plantains and starchy root vegetables as your staple foods (limit your potato intake if you have a similar or lower… -
Re: What do you use Cronometer for?
TL;DR version - Accountability. Blood sugar control. Mostly carnivorous. I use Cronometer primarily to hold myself accountable to maintaining my overall plan of keeping my blood sugar down. As a type 1 diabetic, I have found that my best control is done when I eat low carb/moderate protein/high fat consistently. I wouldnt…
