Scanned food missing from list when followed by advertisement (Android app)

This has happened to me a handful of times on the Android app. I scan some food, and save the changes on the screen that pops up. At that point I may or may not get an advertisement. If there's no advertisement, everything is fine. If there is an advertisement, when I dismiss it, I'm taken back to the main list screen, but the food I scanned isn't on the list! It is saved to the cloud, but it doesn't show up on the list until I exit and re-open the app, or add something else to the list.

There's not much to screenshot. The food list is as it was before the barcode scan. Not much to look at.

To reproduce this, use the barcode scanner to add food until an advertisement appears. Dismiss the advertisement. Note that the most recently scanned food is missing from the list. Exit the app and re-open it. Note that the previously missing food is now on the list.
