raw/cooked ingredients in meal
Hi all,
I am wondering how this works with cronometer.
As I usually cook from scratch I always create a new receipt where I put all ingredients. However, when I am going to cook I will weight everything in raw but then when I weight a portion all is cooked. For example if I will put 200 g of uncooked rice to the meal then I will have one portion of that meal with let's say 160 g but rice is cooked now.
Hopefully it make a sense.
Does this making any difference? And is there any better way how to do this?
Thanks

Dunno if it's better but whut I do is:
- Enter raw ingredients weights
- Weigh the whole finished product after cooking
- Edit recipe name to "Whatever per oz"
- Change the recipe serving sizes to 1 ounce
- Change the recipe servings per recipe to equal weight in ounces cooked
This is easier if you have a list of tare weights for all your cooking vessels.

There's a pretty good conversation about this topic you can check out at another thread on this forum as well: https://forums.cronometer.com/discussion/1053/tracking-ounces-of-meats#latest
