High battery usage on Android
My phone keeps prompting me that Cronometer is using a large amount of battery (over 1% an hour) and I should stop it running in the background, I don't want to do this in case it impacts the functionality of the app. Can you look into it at all?

Hi @RobPitt do you have your Cronometer account linked to any devices or Google fit?

Yes, it's linked to a fitbit.

@robpitt if you unlink your account from Fitbit, is the battery drain still significant, or does this resolve the problem?

I don't know I don't want to do that instead (about an hour ago) I let my phone put Cronometer to sleep so it doesn't run in the background. If it's any help though the high battery usage alerts didn't start appearing until I linked fitbit.

Thanks @RobPitt

I don't know if it's because I put the app to sleep or something you guys have done but the app stopped receiving updates from fitbit so I closed it and reopened it, still no updates. Then I went to the cronometer website and it said fitbit requires re-authorisation. I re-authorised it and it's working again so far, will let you know if it does it again.

I got a new phone (Samsung Galaxy S10e) and Cronometer again had high battery usage and required being put to sleep. Just FYI.

Hi @RobPitt we have made some changes in the latest build, Cronometer 2.3.4 (463). Let me know if this build update reduces your device's battery usage.

OK I'll update and take it off the sleep list.

It seems to be using much less power now.

Glad to hear it! Thanks @RobPitt
