Temporarily hide/disable a diary entry

Hi,

I've asked for this feature before, but just got a workaround suggestion.

It must be easy to add a feature to the mobile swipe (or similar) to hide or disable a diary item from total day's count?
I do this sort of thing all the time in my own software - just add a field "active y/n" to a diary item and add a way to indicate y/n in the user interface.
Then when calculating total, only include active rows.
That feature would save me hours of planning and calculating in a week.
Is this something that at least you would consider even if development cycle means a wait?
