Food Search Selection and Arrow Keys Functionality
It'd be great if after searching the food list I could then use the arrow buttons to select the food. I have to take my hands off my keyboard to use the mouse to select a food. This isn't standard web functionality and gets me every. single. day.
Kudos, too. I've been using the app for a few months now and have found it more capable and easier to use than most any other one I've tried.

Agreed! After a public API, sensible keyboard functionality is the next most-needed feature in Cronometer for my use case.

I came here to recommend this feature because I also find myself having to switch between keyboard an mouse without any alternative available.
User story:
1. Alt-A to add a new food to the diary
2. enter search text
3. TAB to move focus to the top item in the search result list
4. #### here we should be able to use arrow keys to navigate up and down the search result list but instead we have to use the mouse if we want to select anything other than the first item.This would greatly improve usability in my opinion.
