Blank black screen on mobile app

Hi there
This happened 2 days ago. I had 2 google ads pop up which I was able to eventually close, but instead of the app home screen appearing, the screen just went black. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, clearing history, switching phone on/off again.
The desktop mac version is working fine but I need to be able to use via mobile.
Any advice?
