Sustainable Blood Ketone Measurement

I am working on developing habits that I can keep for a decade. Also I am a newbie when it comes to ketone measurement. What have you all used for a long period of time that you have found effective in monitoring your blood ketones? (Frequency of measurement, device, and so forth.) Or is this something that after a couple of months is no longer needed though it is valuable for the first couple of months?
