Read barcode in the browser UI
I have a Chromebook in the kitchen that I used to quickly add foods at cronometer.com, thanks to the keyboard and large screen.
One thing I miss, which would be pretty easy to implement, is the ability to scan barcodes. Pretty much all laptops have cameras nowadays, and barcode scanning works in the browser too. See the QuaggaJS library or this post that discusses both a JS and a WebAssembly implementation.
