Adjusting/editing database foods to customize
Hi - I've been unable to figure out a way to edit any food except those that I have personally created as a custom food. This is very inconvenient in that there are some easy variations on existing foods that it would be much easier to enter if I could use the existing food in the DB as a base. For example, multi-vitamin brands can vary a little from each other; you happen not to have my brand, but it would be easy to modify another one. Also, when I scan a food it, I can't seem to edit the listing to add information I get from websites. Finally, even for my own custom foods, the only thing I appear to be able to do is replace my existing listing, rather than modify it (say, one variety of protein power with a slightly different amino acid profile) and save the modified version as a new food.
Am I missing something? Or is this not a functionality that is currently supported. If not, could this be placed on the developer's list, please.

If I understood you correctly, I think we can already do what you're after. This is how I do it:
- Add already existing food from database into diary.
- Right click and select "View/Edit Selected Food".
- Click "Edit a Copy" on top right gear icon.
- Save the edited copy to your own food.
- Delete the entry of other food from the diary.
Alternatively, you could save a recipe with the existing food as an ingredient so that your food will always stay up to date.
I have been able to modify my previously saved custom food so I'm not sure why you can't seem to do it.
