Apple Watch app or iPhone widget?
I would like to be able to quickly record a food entry from either an apple watch complication or a Today widget on my iPhone. I know that Cronometer can write your nutrition data to apple health, but there isn’t an option to read nutrition data from other sources (only workout data).
My ideal situation would be:
- create a custom food which has within it a complete set of apple health data points (all macro and micro nutrients)
- with a single action from either my watch or iPhone widget, record 1 of this food (in a manner similar to the app HealthFace. The problem with HealthFace is you can only input one data point at a time (i.e. there’s no option to create a “food” with multiple nutrient data points).

@alex1 Make sure you have synced Apple Health with Cronometer and allowed all permissions. If you have not allowed permissions, you might not be getting the full use out of your apps. Nutrition data that you input into your diary on Cronometer will be imported into Apple Health, and vice versa. Apple health exercise and Biometric data will be imported into your daily diary on Cronometer. We do not yet have a widget for iphone but it is in the works . If you have your apple watched synced to your phone and apple health, and then Apple health synced to Cronometer, your data will be imported from the watch to Cronometer.

Following up on this, I would love to have am Apple Watch app that allowed my to show my calories and macros on the watch, preferably as a complication. I’m not to worried about input, but being able to see where I am for the day at a glance.

Would love
-today widget (swipe right on home screen)
-3d touch like other apps to quickly input data
-Apple Watch app!!!!!!!!!! -
I am soooo wanting to pay for a gold membership, but without the Apple Watch app, I don’t think that I want to... which is really sad, because I much prefer this service to MyFitnessPal.
is there any update to when the Apple Watch app is coming out?

Hello @koiphish we do not currently have plans to create an apple watch app. We do sync to Apple health currently.

Thats unfortunate... I really prefer this app to MyFitnessPal, but I am a heavy Apple Watch user and depend on it heavily.

Me too. I'd purchase Gold if you were planning an apple watch app soon!

@cronometer please reconsider and add an apple watch app or complication.

Thanks for the suggestions! We take all feedback under review, which directly feeds the direction we choose to go with further updates. I have added your votes for this feature to our tally!
Note, we do sync with apple health, though we do not have an apple watch app.

+1 -- Just got an apple watch, and sad having to switch to LoseIt or MyFitnessPal to get tracking on apple watch. Would you be able to add a simple "Calories left" complication? That's really all I want to see on a glance.

Omg, that complication would be the absolute best... or how many grams of carbs you have left for us keto people! That would be a dream wish fulfilled kinda option!!!
