Balance=desired calorie deficit given?

Hello! I'm finding it quite confusing to use Cronometer compared to MyFitnessPal. It should be super simple but I'm used a different app. I thought that the point of the app was to put in your foods, desired macros, desired weight loss, and daily calories burned through exercise and it will tell you when you have met your caloric/macro needs for the day. That doesn't seem to be how Cronometer works. I have been severely under-eating due to some messed-up settings somewhere. My question is this: if my needed deficit is 750kcal/day to lose 1.5 pounds/week then this is the number I should see in the "Balance" section, correct? I should not see "0" in the "Balance" section- otherwise, I am maintaining my weight.
