Android app won't log in

Hi. The latest android version has been refusing to log in since yesterday. Is this a known issue? All I could find is a reddit post with no solution.

    I've rolled back to the previous release 3.16.1 b1225 and the problem is no longer there I can log in. Has some hard dependency to do with google firebase been implemented in the latest update?


    I've tried clearing cache and reinstalling the app to no avail. I should add that I'm running android stripped of any google play services framework. I've never had any troubles with the cronometer app before though.

    I'm on 3.18.3 (Moto G9 play) and not having any problems.\
