Have you considered making retired recipes available to recall?

Hi @ross , You can't recall all your retired recipes, however if you have entered it in your diary before, you can find the entry and re-save it to your custom foods and recipes list!

How do you find it once retired?

if you have entered it in your diary before, you can find the entry and re-save it to your custom foods and recipes list! If you can recall where you previously entered it, go to that date and select the entry of that recipe, then right click, and select "View/Edit recipe" and then select "Save changes. The food will be re-entered into your custom foods list.

Thanks!

That's really not helpful for people who haven't used the food in awhile.

Hi @Adi if you want to retire a food to remove it from cluttering your foods list, but you think you will use the food again in the future, you have to option of saving a JSON file. Use the menu in the top right corner of the foods tab to choose "Export to JSON file". Then save this file to your computer. When you want to access it again, you can create a new food and use the same menu to import your saved JSON copy of the food.

It would be nice sometimes if you could search within your past diary entries.
Until then, if you're having trouble finding something you entered long ago you can use the export feature under account settings to get a searchable file.
Just select "export servings" for the appropriate time range and using Excel or a text editor to find the date something was logged within the resulting file.
