Apple watch app Remaining bug
On the Remaining page on the apple watch cronometer app, I see 72 kcal over. If I refresh the page by pulling down, it changes to 162. Then if I open cronometer app in iPhone it shows 72 over on the Energy Budget, and if I refresh the diary on the iphone app by pulling down, the watch app’s Remaining page changes back to 72 before my eyes without touching it. Then if I pull down on the Remaining page on the apple watch again, it changes back to 162. This cycle repeats over and over. Please investigate this bug and fix it.
The values should not be switching back and forth. The watch app does not reliably show the proper Remaining kcals as the iphone app shows. The watch app is frequently wrong when compared to the iphone app. Right now, and many times, it’s wrong after refreshing either the Consumed or the Remaining pages on the apple watch app.
If I refresh the Consumed page on the apple watch, for example, and swipe to the Remaining page, it shows 162 when it just said 72 a minute before. It will stay 162 until I refresh the diary page on the iphone app, when it then will show up as 72. If I swipe back to the Consumed page on the apple watch, refresh by pulling down on the apple watch page, then swipe back to Remaining on the apple watch, the value changes back to 162.
The above also is reproducible if you just swipe from the apple watch Consumed page to the Remaining page. Without specifically pulling down, it will refresh to the wrong value by updating itself automatically. But it’s always wrong until refreshing in the iphone app.
This is bonkers, please have your devs look into what is causing this bug on the apple watch cronometer app, and release a fix. I’m holding off on purchasing the app until bugs like this are solved.
Thank you

Looking at this again the next day, I was able to reproduce the issue by changing the setting “Energy Summary Displays” in iPhone’s cronometer app from Target to Balance. This appears to be the condition that causes the bug mentioned in my first post. Changing back to Target does not seem to exhibit any issue. But changing to Balance does exhibit the bug.

Trying this a little later the same day, I was able to reproduce this bug no matter which “Energy Summary Displays” setting in the iphone cronometer app I used: “Target” and “Balance” settings both exhibit the bug, showing different numbers each time the cronometer app on the apple watch’s Remaining screen is refreshed, despite if Target is selected or if Balance is selected. These refreshed numbers seem to change the later the day goes, as if the calculation is based on the time of day. But they’re still not the same as what the cronometer app on the iphone shows. So cronometer on the apple watch doesn’t always show the same value as cronometer on the iphone, and is consistently incorrect after the page on the apple watch is refreshed.
