Automatic unit conversion for portion size
It's baffling to me why so often there is only one option for unit of measurement (e.g. portion size in grams only). When a food is entered into the database in whichever unit it's entered, it should be built into the app to calculate any other measurement of that sort. For example, if the food is entered into the database as being 100 calories per ounce, the app should allow you to enter your portion as 0.5 pounds and the app automatically calculates that as 800 calories (or the equivalent in grams, kilos, etc). Same for volume or any other unit of measurement
It's pretty simple arithmetic and the ratios are fixed so it seems like that could be baked into the app. The function exists in other apps I've used so I know the option exists. It's annoying to have to use another app to do the math on converting from fluid ounces to milliliters or whatever just to enter the portion size accurately. This would be a HUGE quality of life improvement.

Another related issue is metric <-> imperial conversion. US cup is 236.59mL, metric cup is 250mL. US tsp is 4.93mL, metric is 5mL. I feel it's silly I can't select "I use metric/imperial" and for the app to handle that simple conversion for me. There's really only 2 measurements that are needed per food: volume and weight - a food tracking app should really be able to convert those into all other units.
I always end up having to duplicate foods to add metric and volume or weight to them, so this is also hurting your data collection/processing and adds inaccuracies when you accept european contributions for foods that are available in US (because my cup is different).
