Almost a 200 calories discrepancy

The total calories don't match the macro calculation at all! The discrepancy is of almost 200 calories. I dislike this intensely. What should I aim for then?

  • Not sure what you are looking at to get this? If you are looking at the diary, click the “consumed” macros graph, and it will show you a breakdown of the macros. I prefer to swipe left and look at the “targets,” it breaks down the macronutrients in relation to my daily targets/goals. Hope this helps.

  • Yes, I can see my consumed macros in grams, but when I add them all up, the total calories are always higher than what is listed under calories consumed, by about 200 every time. I read that this is due to some other data the Cronometer uses, but it is very confusing. I will have to add my macros in my own to know the total calories at the end of the day

  • Look under the “imported” group on your diary to see if there is a 200 calorie item logged. If you have other apps, or devices (like an Apple Watch), items will be imported like medications or supplements that may have calories.
