Add Food Amount By Calories

I think it would be very helpful if during the process of adding a food, instead of inputting grams, oz, servings, etc. we could put in calories. I would use this a lot when I am eating something and I am not particularly sure what to add. For example, if I ate a burger at a friends house, I believe its about 400 calories, I search up "cheeseburger", find a random entry that sounds about right, and currently I adjust the servings or grams until I get it to be 400 calories. Instead it would be nice if I could select "calories" within the dropdown menu, put in 400, and it would figure out how the macros and micros would fit into the meal based on that inputted calorie amount.

  • Cronometer has 'cheeseburger' in various sizes and configurations on their food menu.
A lot of restaurants have the nutrition values for their menu items online too.
You need to be good at remembering quantities and estimating weight.
Also, condiments like ketchup, bbq sauce, honey, salad dressing, and coatings like batter, bread crumbs, syrup, chocolate, etc can really balloon the calorie count.
If you are anal (like me) you can carry a small jewelry or food scale and weigh everything.
