Vegan protein absorption

When I went vegan for 6 months I wasn't really concerned about protein absorption but remember Robert Cheeke say take 30% off what the protein is said to be, I thought wow that's a lot.

AI sez: Vegan protein absorption is slightly lower than animal protein due to factors like fibre and plant cell walls, resulting in a digestibility of around 75-80% compared to 90-95% for animal proteins.

At 154 lbs I read to get that much in protein g. but you wunder what you actually get. I mainly eat instinctively rather than tracking exact macro's everyday and only track now and then to get an idea of how I'm doing. When I do track I'll guess how much, nothing dead on.

My diet is what I call normal, I eat what I fancy but could be in moderation. Nowadays I'll eat sometimes vegetarian even vegan and not large amounts of meat etc.

I workout alot and that can make me hungry at times so likely eat more than non-workout days. At 73 doing good, fairly strong and fit, zero meds.
