Feature Request: Combined EPA + DHA (Omega-3) Daily Target
Please consider adding an option to set a single, combined daily target for EPA + DHA, rather than just tracking them as isolated metrics (but still keeep those).
Nutrition guidelines usually recommend a total combined dosage of EPA and DHA for cardiovascular health and inflammation management
Proposed Solution:
- Allow users to create a joint "EPA + DHA" target. - Display a single progress bar on the dashboard that aggregates both metrics.

This may or may not be helpful. I have read that the ratio of EPA/DHA can be quite important. The ratio is important to me for a host of reasons, so I set custom targets for EPA and DHA such that I get a minimum ratio that suits my nutritional needs. It is interesting to me that many food labels do not break down their Omega-3 into their EPA and DHA components, thus I rely on custom "updated" targets to see where I'm at. The separate Omega-3 bar graphs help me quickly see if I'm on my desired target ratio. It's the same problem with lycopene. When entering sun dried tomatoes, lycopene is not added. I have to create custom food targets by manually adding the lycopene not included in the majority of tomato products. The food industry just chooses not to include that vitamin on their label. It's a wonderful heart antioxidant that helps fight CVD. It's an imperfect world, but Cronometer is helping me make sense of some of it.

Yes of course, I wouldnt want this to replace the current targets but rather have this as an additional tool, as most recommendations only differentiate between ala and EPA/DHA, because only the last two can be "used" directly.

@FlorianZahn that makes sense. So far my reading has not been able to narrow down any best EPA:DHA ratio for specific nutritional targets. I suppose it depends on what you are eating. Not all fishies yield the same values for Omega-3, and no two or more people have the same nutritional needs. I see that many sources of info do in fact just add the two together.
