Please Lock Diary Date In Place When Scrolling!

This problem happens a lot: Today is Friday, Jan. 3. On the Diary page, I want to look back and see what entries there were on the previous Monday. I click Monday, then scroll down using a keyboard, and the next thing I know I'm on the page for October!!! Can you please make the website such that when a day on the Diary page calendar is clicked, the user isn't transported to some other month inadvertently by hitting some unrelated key on the keyboard?? This shouldn't happen.
