Bug-No longer importing Apple Health data
I am running the newest version of the beta app that was released yesterday, v3.5.9, and I have the Gold membership. As of the new update, it is no longer importing my weight, body fat %, heart rate, or exercise data from my Apple Health data. I tried restarting the app, reconnecting Apple Health, and tried backfilling data, and even restarted my phone, but it just gets stuck and wont import. I checked and Cronometer does have access to this data in settings.
It still exports data to Apple Health, such as calories consumed. Only import seems to be affected.

Ugh. I had to come off of the beta until the next release because of this. I love Dark Mode but need the Health Data too.

Understandable! Always a risk when using a beta version! Should be fixed soon @markstruczewski

The update the other day fixed the health issue. But then you rolled out support for Samsung and now the health data is gone again. I had to download the public release again so I can have the health data. It's important to me.

Hi Mark, thanks for the report - you're right, looks like the apple health connection has broken again; thanks very much for the report!
Please note, the public beta group is for users interested in helping report issues and contribute to design decisions prior to stable builds being released to public. If you require a stable build, you are welcome to revert back to the public build at any time.

I get that. I want to help you build the best app possible. But as soon as the issue is fixed, I will update the app again. I was so thrilled it was fixed only to break with the next release. I keep checking Test Flight for the new update. Thank you.

@markstruczewski Is apple health still connected when you look in the settings tab, or is is disconnecting as well as not importing data? Also wondering if cronometer is accurately exporting data for you, or if it is broken for both import and export? Thanks!

It is connected. I verified by installing the public release as a test. All is well. When I put the beta back on, health data is not coming over. Very odd. It worked after the fix but then broke again once Samsung integration was added.

Health data not importing after latest beta update. I re-installed the App Store version to test and the health data does import. Health data hasn't imported since before the Samsung integration. @Hilary

I’ve been gone for a while, but I’m back using the beta. Wanted to check in to +1 the Apple Health issue.

The new update does mostly fix the syncing issues. But whenever I close and re-open the app, apple health disconnects, and I have to reconnect it in the settings. At least it syncs when it is connected, though, and I was able to backfill the previous month of missing data.

Same here
-
Just now I opened the app and was looking through settings and it said Apple Watch wasn’t connected. I thought “huh” and connected it again and now I have data. \o/
I’ll report back if it disconnects again.

Hi guys, we've got another update starting to roll out today, let me know if apple health seems more stable for you on this one!

For me, it was still better starting with this version:
Hopefully the next one you are talking about will not revert that ;)
-
Awesome @_mez! 3.6.2 certainly should not revert that. Should only get better, and definitely let us know if it does for some reason get worse!
