"most recent" doesn't suggest most recent at all
I don't know if others are experiencing this, but logging food into Cronometer I'm being suggested food (having selected "most recent" sorting) which I have either never ever logged, or haven't logged for a very long time. This makes logging a very tedious experience as i have to type the name of every single food item i log (or scan their barcode). Takes twice the time it's supposed to take.
Is this a bug? Or is there any possibility to reset the algorithm? I've tried logging out and back in, clearing app data—nothing.

Yep! We've got some changes coming in the food search.
So we can test it better on our end, it would be helpful to know:
Is this on web or mobile? If mobile, what version on you using? iOS or Android?
Is this happening every time or intermittently? For example, when using the filter to show your recent foods in the default list in the food search, then adding a new food to your diary it never appears in your default food search list or only sometimes?
Screenshots/recordings can also help us diagnose the issue too.Thanks!

Happening here as well. In fact, I posted about this today not seeing this post. I’m using an iPhone 12 Max Pro running iOS 14.7.1
it happens all the time for me, I even have a video showing it happen. The Sort by Most Frequent it’s also broken. I have to favourite every item and then set the “Favourites “ filter to see any of the foods I regularly add.
I’m sorry, I adore Cronometers database, but the search functionality is just an utter mess.

It's great to see it in action so we can try and reproduce and nail down what's going wrong.We have some changes coming to the food search coming down the pipe. I'll pop back over to this thread to ask if you guys see any improvements when that comes out.
