Search Foods and Recipes defaults and dropdowns
Folks -- long time Gold issuer. When I first started using the program the drop-down boxes for database, category and language were all open. Then this went away and I have to click on the gear to see them. Please do not require this additional step.
Also I would like to be able to choose my default database. I would choose USDA not NCCBD which now seems to be the default (not chosen). Frankly I do not like NCCBD because they often do not specify crucial information such as cooked or raw.

@Hilary, please give me some feedback here. Would really like to specify a default database. If you check the NCCDB for meat products they do not tell me if the product is raw or cooked. I start with raw food -- the weight of this food tells me how much protein I am getting. There is no way to plan a meal appropriately if I have to know the cooked weight ahead of time. In any case I don't know whether the food is raw or cooked in NCCDB. USDA specifies raw or cooked. I do not want to have to go through additional clicks to get to their database.

@mfox, we recently went through a major overhaul of the search feature introducing more specified tabs and the favorites option. As noted on a separate thread, it looks like your favorites tab is acting up and we will get a fix out as soon as we can for that! As a result of making the Search feature more specified, it can require more steps. Look for more updates to "add foods" coming soon. We are always working to make Cronometer more user friendly, so we LOVE feedback from our users! We will definitely take your suggestions under review!
