[bug?] IOS 16 widget not updating

Hello,
I was using a homescreen widget to easily see my calories consumed at a glance, but with the most recent beta version, it has stopped updating.
For a while, it was displaying my number of calories consumed during the moment in time that I updated. I was able to remove the app and widget, then download again and set up the widget again. Again, the widget is just stuck on the most recent calorie count but won't update.
This totally could be user error, but any help would be appreciated! I miss being able to see it on my screen to remind me to log my calories.
