Protein target calculated by body mass.

I have Apple Health integration turned on, and I weigh myself daily, so my current weight flows into Cronometer in the morning.

What I'd like is to be able to set my protein target as a multiple of my weight in kilograms--say, setting it to "1.6 g/kg/day" or "2 g/kg/day"--and have it calculate that day's protein target. Then for fat and carbs, set a percentage to apportion the rest of the calories between those two remaining macronutrients.

I sort of do this in my head now; I've set my percentages so that protein works out about 1.8 g/kg/day. But it'd be helpful if the software could do it instead.

  • I'd like this too. I might try and switch to MacroFactor as LLMs tell me they have the ability to set g/kg.

Dr. Milo Wolfe just made a video about this, and I'd like to set a minimum of 2.35 g/kg of bodyweight for protein, minimum of 1g/kg for carbs, and 0.5-1.0 g/kg of fat.

Please add g/kg of bodyweight to targets.

  • I agree, nearly all experts talk about protein in g per Kg/lb bodyweight. I'm surprised this hasn't been in there for ages.

  • You can kind of do this in targets/energy -> keto

But you need to also set carbs and it will calculate fat only.

    What would truly be nice:

Allow the fixed pane to lock macros individually, so you lock protein (g/kg or #) and let carb and or fats float based on expenditure.

    Seems easy enough to implement.

Keep all the advanced options but please add the option to set floating targets based on weekly avg expenditure so your not constantly chasing throughout the day
