Custom Biometrics

Hi everyone,

I would like to set up a custom biometric with multiple drop down selections - I have a set of bio scales which provides you with a physique rating each time they are used (rating is between 1 and 9). Has anyone set up multiple selections under the one biometric and if so how did you do this?

Thanks so much

Cheers Curls!

  • Hi @Curls01 , instead of choosing a number from a drop down menu, try instead settings a generic unit, and then just typing in the number between 1 and 9 that you would like to use every time you log that biometric

  • Thanks Hilary! I will go into the program and try that now.

And BTW, Cronometer is amazing. Have been using for 4 weeks now and it has made such a difference to my eating patterns. Am a big advocate for the program, simply love it!

    Cheers Curls!

  • Thanks @Curls01, that means a lot to us! I've passed your kind message along to the rest of the staff here at Cronometer HQ; Let us know if you ever have any suggestions; we love user feedback!

  • I might be missing the obvious... but how do you create a custom biometric ? I just see a long list to choose from. I want to add one for Night Leg Cramps with a range of 0 to 9 where 0 is "cramps ? what cramps" to 9 which is "will someone please chop my legs off" :)

Hi @Vji6697 , this is a bit of a hidden one ;) Select 'Add biometric' on the web version of Cronometer and select the green '+' button to add a custom biometric (This feature is not currently available on the mobile app version). Add the name and units. Once you have done this, you will then be able to choose it from the drop down menu like any of the other standard biometrics - it will be at the bottom of the list under the sub-header 'Custom Biometrics'. Once you have added it, you will also be able to access it from the mobile app.

  • Thanks Hillary. That green + is sneaky... will keep an eye out to see if I can spot it anywhere else ☺

  • Ok Hillary. I have done this but cannot find it on my mobile app. I can see it on my web version but I rarely use web version to use CRON-O-Meter——which I’m loving!!!

  • @Quilter at this time adding a custom biometric is not possible on the mobile app. Add the custom biometric on the web version, and then you can access it from the drop down menu in the Mobile version. Due to size and simplicity constraints some features are not available on the Mobile version of Cronometer.

  • But WHERE on mobile app? Can’t see it. Can see on web page.

  • @Quilter on the mobile app, note that you cannot create a custom biometric. You can however use an existing one which you have already created on the Web version.
To add a biometric on the Mobile app version, select the '+' from the bottom console and choose "Add Biometric". Then scroll to the bottom of the drop down menu to find your custom biometric listed.
