Making custom foods available to others

I've added a few custom foods - mostly these are just products that aren't loaded into the system yet (for instance: trader joe's cheese bites) . There are other foods that I'd be interested in seeing in the database. I wonder if we can share foods, or make foods from other members searchable so that we can add to our own custom database.

Hi @john This is one of our gold features - you can share custom foods with friends. Under the Profile tab, scroll down to Settings, there is a 'Sharing' option that allows you to send friend requests to others with a Cronometer account. Your friends foods will appear in your food searches.

I should add that you can submit foods that you would like to see in our database.
This is most easily achieved using the mobile app by scanning the food product when you add a food (tap the barcode icon next to the search bar). We will ask for a picture of the front of the food package and the nutrition facts table. With this information we will add the food to our database.
