iOS app food insertions show up at top of list on website

Up until recently the website and the iOS apps kept the order of insertion the same. Since the big update a couple of weeks ago it seems that the order of items gets flipped when the insertion happens on the iOS app. Everything is rendered consistently on it while adding the items but the list is out of order for the new items (at the top not the bottom) when rendered on the website.

  • Rereading my last sentence I'm afraid I may be adding confusion. The rendering is consistent on both iOS and the website it's just that iOS app puts new items at the top of the list and the website puts new items at the bottom of the list.

  • I've seen this too, on the Android app. I haven't been able to put my finger on it, I just notice that sometimes things go to the top of the list rather than the bottom.

  • Hello @HankG & @sparksm4 , thanks for reporting this! I have reproduced the issue and have reported this to our developers. I will let you know when the issue has been resolved. Please let me know if you come across any further pertinent information!

  • @sparksm4 this issue has been resolved for Android.
@HankG , are you still experiencing this problem on iOS? We have had a couple of other reports about this but haven't been able to put our finger on the problem yet!

  • @Hilary yes it is still doing it consistently. I have the latest version of the app installed and just reproduced the problem again. I'm on an iPhone 8.

  • Thanks for the update @HankG !

  • @Hilary I have some more data points which may or may not be helpful. The behavior is intermittent, but something I noticed today was that it seemed to be putting the new item above the last item I added from the website (just this morning). I did an experiment where on the app I moved the last item I added from the website up a few places and then I tried adding a new item using the app again. The result was beyond bizarre. It actually shuffled the entire list of items (including biometric and activity data). I sorted everything back to their approximate order added something from the website and then tried to add an item from the app and it added it to the very end of the list now. I haven't been able to reproduce the shuffling behavior either. Again, it's just data that may or may not be helpful for the developers to figure out what may be being triggered in the back end or something.

  • @HankG this is GREAT information; thanks so much for taking the time to look into this for us! I have passed this along to our iOS developer.
