Lipid Panel and CRP

With all the raging debate about cholesterol and what each of the associated numbers means as well as how cholesterol is related to inflammation, it would be great if Cronometer would add the biometrics for a full lipid panel and CRP. Even my doc who is a lipid expert who was deep into statins and conventional advice admits the debates are extremely active, causing him to take a look at how he has been advising his patients.

  • Hi PandaFoodie,

We are planning to revamp our biometrics design and include more biometrics to track in the default list. I will add these to the list!

While we are working on this, you can start tracking them right away by creating custom biometrics. You can only do this on the website right now. Click Add Biometric in the diary page. Then select the green + to create a new custom biometric. Once you have created them, they will appear at the bottom of the drop-down list of biometrics. You can find them in your list of biometrics on mobile as well, after you have created them on web.

By tracking them as biometrics, you will also be able to view your trends over time as you have been logging them in the Trends tab.

    Best,

  • I forgot to mention, we do have some lipid biometrics in the drop-down list by default. You can find total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides in the list already. I hope that helps!
