Use custom values instead of RD
QUESTION: On a plant based diet what should I set my daily target values at? I don't understand (pg). I take a daily supplement and want to use custom values, but am not sure what to put in the field. Where it is set above at 2.4 after taking my daily B12 spray It shows that I 20833% on the Nutrient Targets. That seems odd to me.

The human body doesn't need a lot of B12 and it "recycles" the B12 that we do ingest. Dr. Greger of Nutrionfacts.org has plenty of great info. Here is one that is relevant: https://nutritionfacts.org/video/cheapest-source-of-vitamin-b12/

On a plant-based diet, it's been found that a daily intake of ~50 mcg per day is needed to replenish liver stores and keep B12 in the optimal blood range (ideally, > 360 pmol/L).
I would set the target in your diary to 50 mcg per day (or whatever you take as your supplement). Also, know that there is no upper limit for B12, so don't worry about being 2000x the RDA.
