Include database: Frida Food Data
Hello,
Could Cronometer also include following data source?
https://frida.fooddata.dk/bv/en/?Fooddata_Documentation
The database Frida Food Data (frida.fooddata.dk) was created and published by the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) with the intention to facilitate public access to information about substances in the food we eat. Frida Food Data includes data on nutrient content of various foods, and the administrators strive to ensure that the database reflects the food supply in Denmark and that data are as correct and up to date as possible
I'm asking because it contain more vegetables eaten in Europe (like Parsley root) that are basically unknown in America.
Example for parsley root: https://frida.fooddata.dk/ShowFood.php?foodid=976&2
For now I will be adding foods from there by hand, but they contain quite a lot of information...

Thank you. Do you know how much time it will take you?
Frida provide quite a lot of data and adding it by hand ( like this parsley root) will be painful... -
Hi Matrixik,
I don't have an estimate for how long this will take, but it's on our to-do list!

Frida is one of the best food databases. I manually imported data from them several times and I can attest that quite often they are superior to the USDA.

Please include the The Norwegian Food Composition Table, it would be a lot easier and might attract a lot more users
