Sprinting

Hey There. Ive recently added some sprinting into my exercise programming. Can someone please advise on which running option i would choose in the cronometer. I did some research and it looks like an adult average sprinting is 15mph so i chose the 14mph option. Im also sprinting on soft sand so that adds an extra element to it too :) If anyone can help that would be great.

  • Hi christian_1080,

Any chance you have access to a fitness tracker with a heart rate monitor? This would help you measure your level of effort and give you a more accurate measure of your calories burned. Otherwise "Running, 14 mph" may be the best estimate for you - this will be a vigorous effort activity with a high calorie burn.

  • Hey Karen. Thanks for your message. Yes not a bad idea. Getting a tracker has been something that pops up regularly. Ill have to get on it. I was probs going to go for the apple watch. Have you had any experience with those ?

  • I don't have any first hand experience with the Apple Watch (I'm an android user), but there a couple of people who use it around the office and really enjoy it!

If you go for this option, please note that Cronometer syncs with Apple Health only through our mobile app. This is a great option if you log into your Cronometer account on the mobile app regularly.
