Ability to Customize "Athletic Bonus"

I currently follow a targeted ketogenic diet. On my workout days, I eat a pre-workout high-carb snack. It would be great to either customize the “Athletic Bonus” option, or have a different feature that allows for adding a certain amount of carbs based on your workout.

Let’s say I eat a banana (105kcal, 24g carbs) 30 minutes before my workout, which then burns 225kcal. I still want to have my normal daily carb allowance, since the purpose of the banana was specifically to fuel my workout.

Thanks.

  • We will look at that and get it on our features request list if it is not already there.

    Thanks for the feedback.

  • My comment is more or less in relation to the exercise portion of cronometer. I do a lot of HIIT, using either a treadmill or stationary bike. Is there any way to track that type of exercise?

  • @vanderboobin You would need to enter the specific type of exercise you do (e.g. running vs. cycling) and what intensity you complete it at. Our database currently doesn't have the term HIIT.

  • @Vanderboobin You can also add a custom exercise if you know how many calories your exercise burns. Select "Add Exercise" in your "Diary" Tab and you can enter the name of your exercise, duration, and Calories Burned.

Cronometer also syncs with a variety of devices including Fitbit, Nokia, Jawbone & Garmin. This sync option is particularly useful (and convenient!) for activities like HIIT where your heart rate will be quite variable for the duration of the activity. You can also sync with Google Fit or Apple Health if you don't have a device to sync to.

To sync to a device on your mobile app, select "Connect device" under "settings" in the "Profile" tab. To sync to Google Fit or Apple Health, after downloading the corresponding app, select "Connect to Google fit (Connect to Apple Health)" under "Settings" in the "Profile" tab.
