Garmin and cronometer
Excuse me if this is in the wrong place. I am new to cronometer and really like all the data that it gives me. I have a Garmin watch and have connected it to cronometer. I have done as you have suggested and set my activity to none. After I tracked all my food yesterday it says that I went over my calories by 671! If I subtract that from the calories I did eat that meant I only should have eaten 797 calories for the whole day. I am not a sedentary person. I had almost 14,000 steps yesterday. I feel like I must be doing something wrong.

I now see I should have put that in help. Sorry

@RunningSara84 Do you have a weight goal set in your account? If you do, you may be presented with a lower caloric target than your actual Calorie balance

I do. How does that help me determine the target amount of calories I need for the day?

By setting a weight goal, your target calories for the day will be increased or decreased accordingly. You can learn more about this in this thread: https://forums.cronometer.com/discussion/comment/7665#Comment_7665
