Adding a 'Time' field
Could we have a field that allows you to add a time to a food entry.
I find myself adding notes all over the place like ’10:00′ or ’17:00′
whenever I add food to my diary.
It could default to a null state if someone doesn’t need that granularity.

Thanks for the feedback. We will get that on our features request list if it is not already there.
Best regards

I vote for adding the time.
– helps to track various food allergy or IBS causes
– helps to correlate Ketones / blood sugar with eating timesMigrated from the old cronometer forums.

I now see a field where I can select a meal time for each food entry, ie
, breakfast, lunch, snack.I only see the option available in the Android app, not on desktop (web browser) and I can’t tell any difference in how the app presents or processes the data if I specify a value in this field? Hoping to see the food clustered into meals like MFP with cumulative nutritional data shown for each meal.

I strongly vote for a time slot Being retired and busy means I eat at all different times of the day but I try to keep at least 2 hr – 4 hr between, so keep written times on a piece of paper. To me it seems like a simple adjustment – just add a slot to the left of “description” on the diary page.
Please can you move this “feature request” to the top of the list.
I am grateful for this site and the reasonable cost. I rely on it. Have recently changed from just a recording site to a planning site.Migrated from the old cronometer forums.

Why not always log time of entries added and have a setting for a field to show/hide ???? Could default to hide.
I log (with notes) for helping me space meals of incompatible food types (ie. carby, acidic, fatty, etc) for proper digestion.

This would be great to have, especially if you could use it to graph your intermittent fasting times.

A editable time feature that shows exactly when a diary entry was made would be very useful indeed.

Thanks everyone. Here is a work around; add a time in a note before you log an entry.

I’d love to see a time stamp on the biometrics, especially for blood glucose. Blood pressure timestamps would also be helpful.
Thanks, Peggy K.

the urine (and most other) biometrics are pretty useless without a time stamp!

A time (editable) to allow me to input past records of HDL, LDL, etc³ would be fantastic

Need a time for meals, biometrics and notes please! Is that available as a Gold member? If so, does it show up in the reports?
-
I feel really foolish now Just change the date in the calendar on the left to the date you want to input previous data from. I know, obvious, but I didn't figure it out for a few days, so maybe this will help someone

Please add the time stamp to the biometrics entries. I want to use CM to document my reaction to a particular carb. I plan to eat, say, 50 grams of it and then take blood glucose measurements over the next three hours and graphing the results. I hope to end up with a personal and accurate Glycemic Index for these foods. In fact, offering a simple user selectable graphing function using the time stamp and a biometric value over a selected period of time, CM could claim another cool and useful feature.

I ended up creating special fields to track morning fasting blood glucose and blood ketones, as well as evening BC and BK. It isn't idea, but it works for now

I use the notes to mark time but getting the reports the way I need them requires time to merge, sort and organize. Total pain. Maybe Cronometer could put a few of us diabetics with their programmers so they can understand what is useful!

Would timestamped biometrics also show up on the trend graphs? If so what graphing resolution would be acceptable? nearest hour or nearest minute?
Also based on how the current trend graphs works, you could only look at the last 7 days, or last 2 weeks or last 4 weeks, etc and not a 2 week interval 6 months ago. -
Hi guys,
I just wanted let everyone that we are planning on adding a time stamp feature so you can note the time on any entry and have that time reflected in the various graphs and charts in the app. This is one of our big feature goals for next year. It is a huge project for us due to the amount of existing data affected by the change. We are working on it though, and we will definitely keep you posted as things develop!
Cheers,
Spencer

Great to hear that the graphing integration is also being thought about in the new design!!
Let me know if you want a beta tester. -
I upgraded to Gold in hopes to be able to test the BETA of time stamp version.
I've been doing intermittent fasting on/off for about 1 year now, so food entry "time" is one of the first features I was looking for when I signed up through the Mercola site link. I was bummed to realize that this couldn't track my fasting periods... but happy it's in the works. Thanks
