Converting folic acid to folate to put a new supplement in
Hi.
I have put a new supplement into the foods. It has 200 ug of folic acid on the bottle. When I try and put it in the new food set up page, there is only an option for folate...
What should I put?
Thanks so much.

@ Bry The Dietary Reference Intakes for folate are listed as Dietary Folate Equivalents (DFE) which take into account the difference in bioavailability of folate and folic acid. So you can enter the 200 ug folic acid in the spot for folate. Folate is the general term for compounds in food that we can use in our bodies. Folic acid is a specific kind of folate that we can make syntheticaly which also has folate activity.
