Which calories do I track?
I have it set to none since i am using Google fit on my phone. Should i just track the calories that google fit automatically provides for walking or should i track the large number it gives me for my entire day ( around 1800). I assume the latter is including the calories my body burns just by living but is this already accounted for in the app?

Hi Calvilee,
Cronometer calculates your basal metabolic rate (BMR - the calories your body burns just by being alive). The software will take only the additional calories you have burned doing exercise from Google Fit - this is the number you will see imported into your Cronometer diary.

Thanks Karen,
So then my activity level being set as none would still be accurate as long as i carry my device all day? Its just my phone and not a wearable.

That's right Calvilee!
If you are worried this will be too few calories reported, give it a try and see if you are feeling hungry at the end of the day and you are losing unintended weight over time.
You may also consider setting your activity level to sedentary, while importing the additional calories you burned from Google Fit to see if this feels like a better fit for you.Best,
