NCCDB Additions and Updates?
I discovered the amazing NCCDB via Cronometer. Thanks! It's so much more comprehensive than USDA or other nutrition databases. I really want to be apprised when the add or update it though. Even now and then I discover something new like Pink Himalayan Salt, Sea Salt, etc that they added and decomposed into micro-nutrients.
I went to their web site and signed up for emails a year ago but have never received anything from them. Any idea how to keep track of NCCDB?

You can see a summary on the NCC website of updates to the database: http://www.ncc.umn.edu/whats-new-ndsr-2019/
Please keep in mind, these may not be all relevant to Cronometer's database due to licensing limitations. If you have questions, please do not contact the NCC directly. You are welcome to contact support@cronometer.com or post on this forum.

OK, thanks. I again emailed via "sign up for updates" so hoping that they'll tell me about updates vs. me having to manually check them every month.

How does Crono use NCCDB? The Sept update page says they've added Bone Broth but I don't see that in Crono. Does Crono maintain it's own copy of NCCDB or does it point to NCCDB's server?

@Steverino Indeed, it looks like that Bone Broth entry failed to migrate over to our system. We'll investigate and make sure it's added as soon as possible.

Thanks! I figured they just provide the raw data (in those zip files at their site) but you actually have to supply your own database and do the importing on your own.

@Steverino This should be fixed now. Enjoy your broth!

Yep, there it is. Nutrition decomposed into 76 individual micro-nutrients courtesy NCCDB and matches up much better than the Beef Broth NCCDB item I was previously using for the LonoLife packets I'm have for now. Thanks!
