Adding foods without adding to diary
Hello,
I'm using the app on my iPad/Android/Desktop. When I'm in a store and want to add something via barcode that is not something I'm going to eat immediate, rather (for example), I had it at home and don't have the original package.
It appears to me the only way to add something is to add it and then delete it off the diary. The new food add, doesn't allow for a new bar code scan rather it is a pure manual fill, much like the autofill if a barcode was scanned.
It is nice that I can scan something and see if it goes over the present set of carbs or whatever, but I'm looking to add things that I'm sure aren't in your dB without adding it to my day.
thanks

Hi RickSegal,
When you scan a barcode that is not already in our database, the app walks you through creating a custom food. This doesn't add the food to your diary automatically, though. You can view the nutrition information for a food in the Foods tab at any time without adding it to your diary first - is that what you are looking for? Apologies if I misunderstood your request.
Best,
Karen Stark
