Sushi California Roll

I noticed the Sushi California Roll is only 182 calories for 8 pieces. Is this accurate? Usually for an 8 piece sushi roll the calories are over 250

  • Hi Joseph,

The description for this food from NCCDB is as follows: sushi (rice with vinegar sauce), with seaweed (roll, maki, or temaki), California roll (rice, avocado, cucumber, fish and seaweed). They also define 1 piece of sushi to be about 20g - I wonder if the sushi you have is a larger size, or includes additional sauces that add more calories?

If there is a large discrepancy between your food and the NCCDB item, I would recommend creating a custom food to record the nutrition information of your food more accurately.

    Best,
