Retired Custom Food

I searched for this issue, but didn't find an answer. When someone retires a custom food, can it be "re-activated"?

  • Hi Starchivore,

There isn't a straightforward way to do this.

If you have added the retired food to your diary in the past, you can right-click the entry in your diary to View/Edit selected item in the Foods tab. Then click the menu in the top right corner to Edit a Copy. This will create a new copy that you can save to your list of custom foods again.

I'll pass your suggestion along to the team!

  • Is there a way to search retired foods? I cannot find them in my custom list.

  • Hi KaeLyn,

If you're not sure when you entered the retired food in your diary, but you do remember the name of the food, you could export your data and search the file for the food you are looking for.

Go to: Settings > Account > Account Data > Export Data.

Choose a date range, then Export Servings. In the .csv document that is generated, Hit CTRL+F to search for your food.

You could also use the print report tab to generate a report with all your daily diaries in a time range and search that, as an alternative.

Sorry. Is this a discussion or a question?

edit: nevermind. I can see my own post now with the "Question" flair.

    Thanks,
