Calcium Content Error with Supplements

Citracal was entered in app, it contains 650mg of calcium per serving of 2 tablets.

App goal (default) setting shows 1200mg daily goal. After entry of citracal my calcium consumption registered only 9% of daily goal. This should’ve reached at least 50%. Are supplement data treated differently in the app?

  • Hi Katboo72,

There is an option below the Nutrition Report to include supplements - can you scroll down to the bottom and see if you have that turned on?

Also keep in mind, the Nutrition Report shows your average intake over the selected time range (the last 7 days, by default). So it likely won't match your calcium intake for October 17 exactly.

If you would like to see your Calcium target for a single day, tap on the menu in the top left corner of the Diary page and select Daily Report.

  • I have a similar issue. I take a thyroid medication and need to refrain from taking calcium 4 hours after taking it. I make a low calcium breakfast because I can't wait 4 hours to eat. Most often I use Real Food blends Orange chicken with carrots and brown rice which has a calcium content of 3% per package. Yet, when I pull up my daily report of the breakfast it registers 55% of my calcium requirement. How can this be?

  • Hi Tubie,

What is your daily target for calcium set to? Click on the calcium target in your diary to see this info on the website, or access the Daily Report and then tap on the calcium target on the mobile app.
Could you send us a screenshot of your daily report to support@cronometer.com so we can look into this for you?

If you'd like to send us an email @Tubie we can take a look into your account :)

Are there any other foods or drinks logged in your breakfast that might have calcium in them? Click on each food one at a time to see how much calcium is in each one.
